Commencing Deployment

In the last ten years I’ve designed, built and manage dozens of websites. Plus dozens more where I’m involved in some significant capacity. I’ve branched out to assembling web applications and mobile apps (running in containers like PhoneGap). Web projects done for my employers, clients and even friends and family.

But I never really stopped to make a website for myself. Well, I did ten years ago, a site that showcased my school work while studying Interaction Design. After that, I guess my work consumed all web dev cycles. My personal site was collecting dust, a lot of it.

A few months ago, I began re-assembling a replacement website. One that does not intend to be a portfolio, but a platform. I’ve been writing blogs recently, but not for myself. Finally, after so many years I’d like to punch my own ideas and observations through and put it out there. Free from the worry of representing my employers or affiliates in a bad light.

Finally, we’ve reached this point. The 2017 edition of my website, polished enough but probably still missing a few pieces. Running on good old WordPress on a LEMP stack (Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PHP-FPM), in the blue corner, the new AT website! Hello world.
